Yankee bet, how does it work?

A Yankee betting system consists of a total of 11 bets, each with a bet amount of equal value on four separate events: 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and one four-fold.
In order for a Yankee bet to produce a return, at least two selections must be successful. The trebles and the fourfold increase your chances of winning, so you can have some large wins.

Why should I place a Yankee bet?

One of the benefits of the Yankee System is that it can really diversify your risk, especially if you do a multiple bet. With betting on an accumulator, you need both selections to win, or the traditional accumulator is lost. If the majority of your selections will win, then a Yankee system increases your chances of a positive return on your stake.
The downside of a Yankee bet is that it requires a bigger investment. If you increase the number of bets to 11, then your total stake will be multiplied times higher. When the odds of winning go up, for example when you increase your stake, the potential return on investment increases and you therefore might as well take a gamble.

What is the difference between a Yankee bet and a Lucky 15?

A Yankee and a Lucky 15 are both multiple bets suitable for four selections in different events.
As alluded to, the Yankees selection doesn’t offer a pick against four selections, whereas the Lucky 15 does.
